We've "unofficially" booked the Douglass Center in downtown Leesburg for our fall sale, scheduled for October 1-2 (with set-up and drop-off on Friday, Sept.30).  The space is smaller than the Fairgrounds, but larger than Community Church.  I'll send a formal announcement once the contract is finalized, but at this point I'd be very surprised if the arrangement falls through.

In other sale-related news, I'm considering having either a women's sale or a Christmas sale, or possibly both. I'll be sending out a survey shortly; I'd love to hear your thoughts on these special events. I don't want to move ahead with either unless I believe there is enough community interest!

Our fall sale application is currently in the queue at MCM, and should be live for registration and item entry shortly. Therefore, our concierge service will also be available very soon. (What is concierge service, you ask? Well, it is my Stroke of Genius whereby you can drop off all your items with a wonderfully talented and efficient Concierge Tagger. She will price and tag your items, prepare them for the sale, and deliver them to event on your behalf. All you have to do is sit back and wait to receive a check for 40% of the purchase price for your items that sell. What could be easier?)  If you're interested in using this service, please let me know right away; we were pretty subtle about offering this last sale, but know that we have the process down pat, we'll be advertising it a lot more. It's first-come, first-served, so I suggest getting on the list now!

Lastly, I may have FINALLY found a solution to the tedious problem of communicating with consignors, volunteers, and shoppers. This wonderful (potential) improvement comes courtesy of the MailChimp service (http://www.mailchimp.com/).  We're still in the testing/learning stages right now, but hope to send all of you a personalized invitation to join very shortly!
